Morgan Chavis is a proud native of Detroit, a wife, mother, and HBCU alumna of Hampton University. Post Morgan’s Business Management studies she budded in her corporate career
with a humble beginning at Target and climbed the corporate ladder at Amazon in Staffing Management and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Program Management. Though Morgan’s
formal studies landed her in a corporate arena, her passion from childhood has been hair artistry and cosmetology. She obtained her cosmetology license alongside her business studies
while at Hampton University and started a business, Lusso Salon, in 2019. After two years in business, Morgan exited Corporate America to embrace full-time entrepreneurship. This
transition incepted her second business, Lusso Extensions, an e-commerce organization selling hair extensions and custom wigs.
Morgan’s passion for service was instilled by her late mother, Sylvia Wilson, who made giving back and servitude leadership the forefront of Morgan’s upbringing. Throughout her youth,
Morgan learned service is a shared joy of all people and everyone has something to give. This concept has remained core as Morgan has matriculated through her career and adult life. She has served on the board of Rose Petals Youth Mentoring Program as well as dedicated service to Girl Scouts, INC from her youth to adulthood. Morgan has created Lusso Gives Corporation, a scholarship foundation for aspiring cosmetologists.
